Why doesn't my server appear of the server list?
I can't get my server to show up on the dedicated server list. The server DOES work, my friend can connect to me if I give him my IP and he connects by opening the console and typing connect <my ip>.
Some things to note: -Port 27015 is forwarded to the host machine. I've even tried putting it on the DMZ to see if it would show up on the server list, but no dice. -I've made sure the game is up to date by manually running the commands with hdlsupdatetool. I've even tried re-downloading the game all over again in a separate test folder to make absolutely sure I had the latest version and no mods (sourdemod/metamod) were interfering. No dice here either. -I used to be able to find it in the server list all the time, but it just suddenly stopped appearing there for some reason. No clue why. Here are the settings I'm running the game with: The batch file that starts the server: cd C:\Program Files (x86)\Games\hldsupdatetool\swarm start /high /min srcds -console -game swarm +map lobby -maxplayers 4 -autoupdate And my config file, in newmapsettings.cfg asw_ignore_need_two_player_requirement 1 hostname "Downgraded286's Swarm" setmaster add 72.165.61.153:27015 setmaster add 63.234.149.90:27011 sv_region 0 sv_allowdownload 0 sv_allowupload 0 sv_voiceenable 0 sv_allow_lobby_connect_only 0 |

Problem solved... I tested it on my main machine by copying the files over from my server, so I had the same exact files. I launched the server, launched the game and saw it in the server list. The only difference I could think of between the systems was Steam was running on my main system and not the server... so I made a dummy Steam account and set it up to run on the server. With Steam running, the server now shows up in the server list. I'm curious as to why it has worked without Steam running up until now...
