I recommend this for AA
Rochard's built in post-process AA is a bit weak and misses a lot of edges. This is a better form of post-processing AA that's been making the rounds. SMAA: http://mrhaandi.blogspot.com/p/injectsmaa.html
1. Download using the link at the top of that page. 2. In the zip file there will be two folders, unzip the contents of the d3d9 folder (should be 4 files) into Rochard's directory: <wherever you installed Steam>\Steam\steamapps\common\rochard\ 3. Open injector.ini and change the following: - SMAA_PRESET_HIGH to SMAA_PRESET_ULTRA - weird_steam_hack = 0 to weird_steam_hack = 1 (if you use the Steam overlay, otherwise you can skip this) That's it. You can use the Pause key to toggle SMAA on/off if you'd like to see the difference it makes. As with any post process AA, it's not perfect, but it cleans up a lot of edges that Rochard's built-in AA misses without introducing the generalized blurring you get from FXAA and some other post-process AA methods. Hi Sweetz,
and thanks for this. I will look how it works and if it would be possible to incorporate it into the game, effectively replacing the old AA filter we have now. Looks interesting! __________________ Cheers, Sampsa / Recoil Games |

Cool. I linked it in the FAQ thread too, but the tech details for developers are here: http://www.iryoku.com/smaa/

I already was using this, but I missed the ULTRA setting parameter.
So +rep for this. |
