UT3 is NOT dead!!! List the active servers you play on to help build the community!
I am creating this thread to help people find active servers to play on.
Please list the servers you play on including the region, time of day most active, the server ip, The Game Style, etc. I made my list by copying and pasting the ip address from my favorite server list through HLSW: http://www.hlsw.org/ The active servers I play at (mostly active between 3pm-12am EST North America) on the weekends they are occasionally busy. If you join, you'll see someone very soon. You forgot to mention that the people who play in that Greed server only vote for one map, and if you politely ask them if they'd be willing try a different map you are quickly asked to GTFO.
Great DM servers there, though. |

myself being one of them; we are the guys who played at launch we used to play on UMG LEAGUE DM but that server doesn't exist and hasn't for quite awhile.

Just want to help you before you get discouraged. There will be a HUUUGE gap between new players vs "veterans" It's one of the reasons why I love this game, you actually have to learn and practice this game to get better. It's been almost 4 yrs and it's good. Really good. |

I've actually been looking into the Unreal series, would you say the "veterans" are forgiving and helpful, assuming I'm actively trying to learn?
Also, would you say it's populated enough that you can find a match without having to wait hours for people to join? |

Most aren't. I am. There takes some ini files to tweak to get the mouse "float" out of it and a few other things. The more cores you have the better (CPU)
Just browse those servers with HLSW and you'll be able to catch peeps playing

I love these "UT3 is not dead" threads, both here and at another forum I frequent. It always makes me chuckle when I see them get bumped. Anyone who ever played the original UT99 in its heyday, back when you could find 5000+ people online at any given time 24/7 every day would regard UT3 as not merely dead, but as having been a stillborn.

Bought the game the other day, not played a UT game since UT 1 I think.
Been playing it a fair bit it's a lot of fun, I really do miss shooters like this, less "realism" more fun. We need to give them a comeback. I tried nexuiz but the mutators got annoying.
