How to make the Philog more than just a W+M1 weapon

This is simple really, in order to make the Philog more than just a typical W+M1 tool, we need to do a few things.

1. Fix the Health Regen to be gradual, not instant.

Simple enough, health regenerates like the sandvich, overtime, not instantly.

2. Add a secondary use for MMPH

Another simple one, add another ability to replace our lost airblast. I was thinking something along the lines of holding M2 does a convergence. Removes mmph but restores health, allowing you to tactically decide whether you need health to stay alive, or conserve mmph to give an overall better payoff.

It can be as simple as holding M2 restores health and drains mmph at certain rates, or just do a set amount, 10% mmph in exchange for x amount of health.

It's a fair trade as it allows the Pyro to become a sort of skirmisher, dealing damage and restoring health from the damage he deals.

3. Fix the Damage Reduction to be 66%, not 90.

Another easy fix, try it in beta, if it goes well, make it official.

Number 2 alone is enough for me to go YES! YES!

This would probably become my favorite Flamethrower.

Or just increase the Afterburn damage while further lowering the non-Mmmph damage.

Yea, I thought number 2 was so good that I when and fapped for a while.

Felt good man

But seriously, yea this is definitely what it should have, no airblast simply does not work, we learned that with the Backburner. Give us something else to use to make up for it.

Shameless self-promotion.

I would be quite satisfied with 2, to be honest. Getting rid of the mmph and replacing with rewarded health is pretty damn good.

It was a different story with the backburner as it didn't really offer anything as good as airblast. The phlog however does.

The crits are fun to use.

They are NOT as good as airblast.

Same with the damage resistance. Annoying as balls? No question.

As powerful as airblast? Yeah no.

Stick to air blasting then.

Personally I don't see how it's any more annoying than a headshot, back stab or random crocket. Or even the backburner or kritzkrieg. Please go away and take your mmmph envy with you.

Number 2 is amazing. Just make that the alt-fire, and then find some other way to give it a boost.

made me laugh: Alt-fire restores health and cloaks user for duration it is held.

It makes so little sense.

I just...what?
