Asked to install VC every time running Qube

Every time I start Qube, it asks me to install VC redistributable. What is up with this? Is there somehow a fix for it? Cheers.

You're not alone, I got the same thing plus it asked to be run with administrator privileges every time because it writes to it's directory in the Program Files directory and it asked me to accept the Unreal license every time as well.

I say asked (past tense) because I have finished the game with all achievements (not really special because just beating the game gives them to you) so I've uninstalled it and moved on.

Q.U.B.E. is a good game with a lot of promise but it is one of the buggiest games I've ever played. So buggy in fact that I view it as mostly unfinished and for that reason, over priced.

Conclusion is that if this is what we can expect from Toxic Games, I seriously doubt I'll be buying any more of their games unless I can get them for $5 or less.

Really frustrating. I assume this contributed to my saved game being lost after closing the game as well? I really enjoyed the game first time around, but I'm a bit hesitant on restarting a fresh game only to lose my save again.

Same problem here. Doesn't appear to affect the game at all, and I can play it just fine. It's really annoying is all.

go to Steam\steamapps\common\qube\Binaries\

and delete the whole Redist folder. problem solved.

I never understood why so many developers releasing their products on Steam get the install script wrong!
This is a bug that needs fixing.
