Why would they leave out features?

In Blood Bowl, they had it so that you could make players automatically go forward or backward, your players would automatically counter, and you could easily put in your players from the bench in play, and not to replace.

For some reason I can't put in a player unless if it's to replace, even if I have 2-3 spare and only 10 on the field, my players absoluetely refuse to block unless I tell them to, and it crashes whenever it feels like. I love this game, well, the original, but I wouldn't call it "legendary" if you're going to completely ruin it. So if anyone is checking before they buy, don't.

What are you talking about? This is a pretty vague description.

Okay, I guess I wasn't so clear, at the time of writing I was pretty upset at the games constant crashing.

When in the play making phase of the original release of Blood Bowl on the computer, which i think is now Blood Bowl Dark Elves Edition or something like that, you can choose to have certain players advance or fall upon the kickoff. It was nice because some players, like receivers, were more likely than not supposed to be in the enemies side of the field, fairly simple mechanic, but they took it out on the Legendary edition. Also useful for blitzers for making 2 fall back as your free safety and co piolet or whatever. Seems silly for them to remove such a simple thing, and no it's not a huge issue, but having to reset those 6 commands every kickoff just gets tedious.

As for the crashing it seems self explanatory game crashes often after redownloading, verifying game cache, and defragging.

The auto block thing seems odd to me to remove as well, again, tedious to have to reissue commands on multiple people every 5 seconds. Especially when an opposing player with the ball is running straight past half your team who kind of just watches him run. Keep in mind that I never played the tabletop game, but I think you automatically block someone entering an adjacent space. I could be wrong, but even if I'm not it seems like kind of an obvious thing to set, or maybe a toggling stance, aggressive, or passive. That wasn't in the original release, but the auto blocking was.

And finally, also in the playmaking phase you can set your people and all that jazz. Say you have 13 players only 11 on the field and 1 gets killed or whatever or you need to swap in another. There is no option to put in a player for no other player, just to swap the a player on the bench for a player on the field. I've tried hotkeys, keysmashes, and praying but nothing happens. And when you try to confirm the game tells you you don't have 11 players on the field, which just seems like it's mocking me.

I liked the original 2008? release of the game, but I bought this version because I like the extra races, but now I kind of regret it. After it's been out for so long and it's so buggy I don't see a patch coming anytime soon and it's disheartening.

Sorry about before but I hope this is a little clearer.

Are you playing Real Time or something? I still have no idea what you're talking about, but that would make the most sense.

Don't do that. The game is supposed to be turn based. That's what the rules are for. The Real Time and Blitz mode were added as an afterthought and aren't tested at all.

Yes I'm playing in real-time. The blitz mode and real time worked perfectly in the original release, that's why it confuses me that it doesn't work now. I know it's meant to be turn based but it's nice to have something a little more engaging and intense at times so the blitz mode is pretty fun.

Which pulls me back to my original question which isn't gonna be answered it seems. How or why would they add more races, but in the process break an entire game mode? Just seems odd for such an oversight when it worked in the first place. I feel the dead horse is beaten enough, but still, it's frustrating.

Yeah, sorry, it's probably not going to be answered. It's a game mode that very very few people playing this game play regularly.

Switch to turn based and don't look back.

Yeah, I'll give it another try, the turn-based that is. Anywho, thanks for at least hearing me out.
