Good game, could have been great.
I grabbed this game despite the DRM nonsense and I've been so far pleasantly surprised, it's a neat little thing. The warping mechanic seems well done and there's more than just a couple of hours play-time, I'm at over five hours so far and haven't finished, I've seen AAA full price releases with less time involved.
Overall I'm really pleased with the difficulty of the game but there are some sections that just.. wow.. they shouldn't be difficult in theory but several things come together just to make you want to tear your hair out and I do not mean that in a good way. When the solution is obvious but the thing stopping you from completing your task is foiled by FINE-TIMING or POOR CONTROLS then that is the brand of a poorly designed section. When forced to do these sections repeatedly and failing constantly then the fun meter hits zero. The game has a few of these, most prominent of which is one of the boss fights later on, I'll not spoil it but look forward to: *Randomly changing movement (Which you've had to deal with for the entire level before the encounter also) *Needing extremely accurate timing *Timing being messed up by the randomly changing movement *Getting stuck on hitbox corners that you really shouldn't but can't avoid because of the aforementioned changing movement *Warping sometimes failing because something is in the way *Just too many random factors in general for a section which requires precise timing All this is just one single encounter in the game, there were other examples of this kind of thing earlier. I've no doubt that the encounter is perfectly easy for some people, perhaps due to the stars being in alignment or some other feat but for us mere mortals it is too easy for random elements to remove all the skill from the game, quickly followed by the fun. As I've said I enjoyed the game overall but these few things really detracted from what I got out of the experience, the annoying parts are so incredibly annoying, often through no fault of your own, that they really stand out. |

I've done 2 boss fights so far and I found them quite easy, didn't get stuck on anything and had no problems with warping, if their are more to come then I'll have to wait and see.
I think the game is fun though, it's just nice to play and using objects/warping to outsmart the guards can be tricky sometimes. |

Looks like a fun game from what I've seen in some videos on IGN. According to Gamespot, it clocks in at around 6 hours or so playtime.
Seems pretty good for a 10 dollar game, but how repetitive is it? Seriously considering this game and even at only 10 bucks, I'd like to read a few more opinions. Doesn't seem to be much activity in here, although the game is fairly new. Still, I have it on my wishlist just awaiting a little more feedback. Bye for now.. |

Its not repetitive, and its definitely worth $10.
But its a bit crap to play with the keyboard and once again this is another PC game where they dont allow you to change the controls. Still cant understand these developers that wont let you change the controls. Although even if I could change them, I still think its better playing it with a gamepad. |

Well this thread decided me.
I've had a couple other EA "inde" titles and they are all uninstalled now and in my libraries "trash" folder. EA and "inde" just don't have the replay value I look for. |

Only thing that sucks is the ♥♥♥♥ty EA login thing, but the gameplay makes up for it!

Don't forget to unlock your framerate, it makes huge difference http://forums.steampowered.com/forum....php?t=2641098
When you are in WarpEngine.ini, you can tweak AA and AF too Code:
MaxAnisotropy=16 MaxMultisamples=4 |
