How do you manually save? LOTR - War in the North

I have been able to see your able to load a save game, but there isn't any separate saves, all saves are in 1 complete save. This makes it difficult to go back to an area, such as the 1st Troll fight, where I accidently clicked to Proceed, without collecting anything around, which for all I know could have been a cool trophy.

Can anyone tell me if there is anyway at all to go back to a certain area you completed to either collect what might have been there, or to restart that location to do the area again?

Thanks for any help given.

It seems your pretty much SOL.
Like me.

I got to the Siege of Nordinbad and do not have the right skill set to survive... but I can't go back to a previous save, if I exit the game and restart, it drops me right back in with the Orc Chief and I can do nothing... my companions are stupid as $@#%@! and end up getting downed and then there is no way I can revive them without getting killed too.

At this point I will have to start a new character from the beginning. Not likely... so it looks like this game will get shelved, and maybe I will come back to it some time down the road when I no longer have the feeling that I want to maim small animals just from launching the game.

So there are no ACTUAL cheat codes for this game? I search the web for them and just get endless posts of how to get the achievements. A god mode would be nice... just for this one fight.

I think the only thing you can do is manually back up your save file as you progress.

C:\Users\*username*\AppData\Local\wb games\war in the north

think it's documents and settings on XP, instead of Users

Make a new folder in there for backups, then as you are playing, you could go there and make copies of that one save file periodically.

That's probably the best you are going to get.
I'll definitely be doing that if I ever play through it again

If you guys need help, I am willing to help you get past the part you are stuck on. Also, not sure if you guys know or not, but you can respec by buying a respec token in most towns.(Though this may not be immediately helpful based on the factor that you can't get past the part you are on currently to begin with. However, it may prove useful in the future.)
