DRM for this game?

It says on the page it requires Origin. Is it a one time activation sort of thing or does Origin need to be running as well as Steam all the time while playing this game? Also are there any limits on activation or any other 3rd party DRM software? I know EA has liked using Securom in the past and they put a 5 machine activation limit on Gatling Gears.

It requires a legacy EA account/Origin account login to register. It does not require the Origin client.

Yes you need an Origin account. And if id known that before hand I would have just bought it from Origin.
It only asks you for the code once, but you have to manually log in every time you launch the game if you want it to track your stats and achievements. (it doesnt remember you which is damn annoying)

Steam doesn't even need to be running to play it.

Just know that you may want to use a gamepad (XInput preferably Xbox 360 or the like) as from what I've read, it's a B***h to control with Mouse/Keyboard.

I'm using a pad and really enjoy the game. True you only need an EA/Origin account to activate it one time, then you only need to log in within the game if you want your stats tracked and to have access to the Leaderboards. Else, you can just play "offline" just fine, but it won't track your stats.

Also, as pointed out by SirNicolai, the game does NOT remember your login cred's, which is dang annoying. You have to log in each time you launch the game.

Also, I've had it pop up in-game that it had lost connection to the EA server, which means another login if you'd want it to keep tracking stats.

That has only happened to me twice in the 4.4 hours I've played, however.

Other than that, it really is a fun game, and IMHO, very polished for only a 10 dollar game.
