Wireless XBOX 360 Controller for windows

Already tweeted this but:

Game boots up and ignores controller input.

Once in-game, the controller responds as "Player 3"

No other controllers connected. Controller is lit up as controller 1. and Yes its an official Microsoft XBOX 360 Wireless controller for Windows.

It works fine in _every_ other steam game i own.
