Are there any save feature mods for Guardian of Light?

I only just started playing, but I sort of have an issue with how the game saves itself. It appears to be entirely checkpoint based and this is kind of irritating. There are times where I'd like to save, such as before a tricky jump or right before a timed challenge like that 30 second one in the first level.

Would be nice if there was a mod that would let you save at your leisure.

I don't think there are mods for this game. I agrre that a few more checkpoints would be useful in some spots but for the most part the checkpoint system works fine. Just think of it as a number of challenges you have to complete in one go.
