Trimping. (Super Cool Demoknight Technique.)

Kinda new to posting here, some of you may know me on youtube under iReima but I've had this game since the orange box. Racked up a bunch of footage ever since I made the switch to true demoknight. I feel like the class is underrated, yet a completely acceptable substitute for the latter spam demo. Access to a full range of turning to airstafe while charging into a ramp = get the ruler

(I made a compliation of all the jumps in some latest videos, so you can skip to the airborne parts here. )

I've been watching Lei Lei's style with half controller rollout and decided to elaborate and specialize on ramps with full ability to turn via booties/joystick; which has evolved the odd man out swordsman into a concing Pseudo-class. Completely derived of explosives and thrust into the unaware masses clutching nothing more than the sword they spawned with.

I feel that this specialization class is super fun and only ask of the community that there would be more varieties of the persian persuader. I mean the eyelander has like what, 3 skins?

Here's some more vids.

This particular style is best suited for the Arabian set. Unless you're super good at nailing those jumps and dont need to wait 12 seconds.

While Demoknight may be fun, and using that advanced movement is pretty cool, you really can never be as capable or powerful as a stock Demoman.

I completely agree with you. 100% This will never ever be as effective as heavy artillery, but it has it's moments where it leaves everyone jaw agape.

Also it really screws with the so called delicate 2fort ecobalance. Which is why I love it. Think of a scout with soldier hp wielding only a sword. It combines the elements of a few classes if you're into such a thrill.

Like multiclassing. MMO nerds should be raging hard now.

Huh. How does the game controller work? Demoknight is a joke without nades, and going solo-controller makes aiming the things impossible. Do you switch to the controller while charging? And how can you set separate sensitivities for the controller and keyboard+mouse?

Dunno about him, I do quickly switch to controller while charging. And no to booties, they do nothing.

It takes months of practice and few minutes warp-up every day to utilize it full potential.

So just using the controller will, by default, allow me to do crazy hairpin turns?

I use the controller with my left hand, mouse with my right.

Only problem I have with it is that it's harder to use voice commands.
