Count me as another disgruntled Steamer who wants to play some Borderlands...free weekend was good, decided to buy GOTY, BAM. Failed to Connect to key server.

How hard can it be to get a new batch of keys from the game devs anyway? Isn't it just a legal random keygen or something?

I guess if they can't be arsed fixing it I have no choice but to go for a refund, shame I was looking forward to playing this.

No, it isn't like this. They get the keys directly from the makers so for example if the maker company give them 500 and these keys get bought they wait for another 500 so they can give them to those who bought the game. And in this situation many people bought the game before the maker can provide the keys .

So now the only thing that we can do is wait untill steam can get keys.

If this is the indeed the reason, then Steam should knock 50% of the 75% reduction, for making us wait for our game while they go out spending our money on beer.

I'm having the problem as well. It was working fine for about 3-4 hours last night, before I had bought it. I was just playing the free version. I wish I had waited to buy it...
