Does anyone know what the huge 8 GB update today is? I started downloading this morning, but I can't seem to find any information on what it might be. I assume a patch, at that size. Anyone have info on it?

I'm guessing it may be the new update that was sceduled for the 17th coming a couple weeks early? My download is showing 11.07 GB though, not 8.

Yeah, that's the only thing I can find reference to, so I suppose it's early?
Mine has it at 8,162.6.

@ Kelton312: I'm assuming it's the Enhanced Editition. Perhaps they are preloading it because it was previously stated that it would not be released until April 17th.

Yeah, I didn't think of that. It could be a pre-load.

Just got home early from work, booted up my PC and Steam listed Witcher 2 as "Update Needed" for about 5 seconds, then the little pop up from Steam says "Witcher 2 has finished updating".

I check the downloads, and the picture above is what it did, which was apparently NOTHING?

I'm going to put off on downloading it until it's for sure the upcoming free EE patch from the xbox's release. (already having to redownload another game that required full redownload for another mystery reason)

It might just finally be a fix for the Steam overlay and they're making you redownload the whole game for that issue for all we know. Steam needs Patchnotes!

Well it extracted new files and reinstalled the game for me. Hard to say exactly what changed though because I lost my saves in a HD failure a few months back and was waiting for the update to start a new playthrough. I dont remember seeing this tutorial gameplay before (my character started out the tutorial standing on a dock...is this new?)

Sorry I couldn't give more concrete details....nothing in the menues says enhanced edition etc.
