[PLUGIN] Unlock all ConVars

Hi all,

Using DS's Portal 2 plugin SDK, I whipped up a small serverplugin which allows you to unlock all hidden/development ConVars in Counter-Strike: GO.

Note: if you're concerned about viruses or your safety, I'm the same guy who has brought safe singleplayer hacks to Source games before (to unlock their full potential). See this Kotaku article.

The source-code to this plugin is available in the ZIP for those who are interested as to how this works.

Installation Instructions

Download the ZIP file here:

Simply extract the contents of the ZIP to your \Steam\steamapps\common\Counter-Strike Global Offensive\ folder.

Note: ensure you extract the ZIP to the folder which contains the following files/folders:
- csgo [folder]
- bin [folder]
- platform [folder]
- csgo.exe
Add -insecure to your launch options. This prevents VAC from loading, as this plugin may be classed as cheating.

Note: if you forget this step, do not worry. The plugin will not load without this launch argument.

Note 2: you will not be able to join multiplayer games with this launch option. Make sure you remove it if you want to join games.
Run the game and have fun!

Commands
See below for a list of commands that are available in this plugin:

cvar_unhide_all - removes FCVAR_HIDDEN and FCVAR_DEVELOPMENTONLY flags from all ConVars/ConCommands. This provides you with full access to all commands.
find_full - replica of the find command, however ignores FCVAR_HIDDEN and FCVAR_DEVELOPMENTONLY flags.
cvarlist_full - lists all ConVars. Pass hidden as a parameter to only list hidden ConVars.
force_dispatch - forces the dispatch of a command.
cvar_set - forces the value of a ConVar, regardless of its range restrictions.

Convar list
Here is a list of all the ConVars (over 1500 ConVars unlocked) that are available after using the cvar_unhide_all command.

Set weapon_recoil_model to 0 for CS:S/1.6 style view shaking!

Lower weapon_recoil_extra to tonedown the screenshake effect with "legacy recoil" enabled.

Edit: Is there a simple way to get a list of all the cvars available under sv_cheats 0?

Afraid not. However, findflags cheat will list all ConVars that require *cheats*.

Tried it out. It's much larger than CS:S it seems.

Did you try playing with the recoil scale cvars?

find recoil should list all the cvars with "recoil" in them

Very cool. I wonder why they're holding off on a widely complained about issue when it's as simple as changing a cvar to 0. It's kind of extreme from the video posted but that's the kind of thing I'd rather have too much of instead of too little. Unless that cvar does other things we don't know about.
