Red face I can't fathom gripes about something that's FREE!

Ok, cards on the table, it's not perfect (yet) and what game ever is. There are bugs to be sorted and yes, getting a TrainSim vibe with the expensive DLC.

But for goodness sake, IT'S FREE!! If your not enjoying it, UNINSTALl IT!

No one wants to know how bitter you are about being ripped off the £0 you paid for it.

so youre telling me if i crapped in a box and gave it to you for free, you wouldnt complain? or how about an STD? those are free too. what if i give you a game thats bloated with spyware? what if i give you a game for free that doesnt do what its supposed to? is that all fine too?

im not saying people have the right to complain about this game. what i am saying is its not black and white. there are legitimate times to complain about things that are free. just because you cant fathom it, doesnt mean its not there.

Whats there to complain about with this game? That it was launched with DLC that costs as much as a month of subscription for somewhere like TOR? It was free to begin with for people to see if they dont like it. If you dont like something free thats not hurting you, then stop playing with it. There's no reason to complain about something that has DLC that adds alot more gameplay than similarly priced map packs for something like COD.

notice that this isnt what OP said. he said there was no reason to gripe about something that is free.

also, notice that there are other complaints than the one you mentioned. you have tried to pigeon hole complaints into something that doesnt fit them all.

What other complaints are there? All I have seen is about the lack of free content, or the content is too expensive.

youre changing your argument. first you said it was the DLC; now you say its the lack of free content or the dlc. you proved my point.

Umm. You proved your own inability to read. Read the third sentence of my original post in this thread. I didnt change my argument. I said there was no reason to complain about the price of the DLC and the fact that the base game is free. There are no edits to it either.

Does it say otherwise? Where's your proof? Logically something thats free with launch day extensive DLC means whatever is free is more of a demo. Most people think the free portion is a demo and I can totally understand that.

again. you didnt originally say that people were complaining that more wasnt free. you changed your argument. at first you said people only complained about the expensive DLC.

Read the fourth sentence. It addresses the complaining people.

it addresses complaining people. however, you didnt mention which complaint you were addressing. the only complaint you addressed is the DLC pricepoint. this is why i said you changed your argument and i was right to do so. regardless of your intentions, your poor wording is all i have to go by.

Whatever. The only way you can argue back is just to say I didnt appear to address both complaints completely. Not why my argument is flawed or counter arguments, just that mine is missing one or two words.

This would depend on the size, shape, hue and texture of your crap, the quality of the box it came in, and whether it was done up with a nice pretty bow.

Your other two examples are even less to do with what I said and are therefore not worth joking about.

And I love how this threads turned out, mental.

My complaints are rooted in the experience that the dev team, mostly the same guys behind Flight Sim, are capable of an absolutely tremendous product, and the appearance of this is that they put literally the bare amount of effort in to meet their contract requirements. It's really sad to see a developer fall from grace.

Also, Flight is not free. The Icon A5™ (WE'RE TOTALLY NOT ADVERTISERS HERE) and a small tropical playground are free, all of the rest of the content is held behind a paywall. This is what we would nominally call a demo.
