If I'm not mistaken, ASW is not just being distributed via Steam like Trine 2 or Amnesia, the publisher is Valve itself (though, may be it is because it was based on source engine, honestly, I don't know; if anyone can enlighten us that would be awesome) so technically, the petition should go to valve, BGC can't do a thing here.

But as I said - petition and Valve just doesn't add up. Can't really remember the case where they worked (the WebMoney support in Steam, for example, was in long-term plans anyway, petition didn't affect it even a bit).

But I added my voice anyway. Hope never dies.

I'd sign it (And get everyone I know to sign it) if you atleast bothered to type it up correctly. typing like this is annoying.the sentenzes merge into eachother n the grammer is horribles.plz fix it n take time to tipe it corectly. Seriously though, make the goal larger (Just 100?) and the purpose actually READABLE and you have my signature.

Okay let me introduce myself: I'm the slovenian guy that started the
whole thing about pettition.

I was checking forum (www.swarmarmory.com) with a thread that asked
about why is the frontpage still the same, why is nothing changes, and then
when I was posted my response:" hey I would like to help with this if it possible" I get this response

The game was Dead On Arrival. Valve tossed it away without even knowing what they had. It stayed afloat for about a year thanks to a couple of talented guys with a lot of free time and eagerly helpful individuals like yourself. This game is truly epic; it's unique, highly moddable... Alien Swarm has a superabundance of untapped potential.

But it's too much for just a handful of people to manage without it actually being a paying job. I'm talking about real development financing. All these people have other jobs, or school, and untold happenings going on in their lives. It takes literally hundreds of hours just to make a handful of maps.

Years from now, perhaps, you'll see a modded version of this game (called something else) for sale on Steam, but if you want to see this actual title come back to life, I'd suggest you petition Valve to make it happen.
