Raporting -> ban ? is it work?

Hello,
I am playing Cod:MW3, and there is lots of cheaters (WH, aimbot) and after match I always raport that noobs, but i did save 3 names (and i put in favorites) and thay still playing without any BAN.

So i wanna know it this "raporting by steam" do something? or i should record this cheater and send link with raport?

VAC is an automated system. It accepts no forms of evidence. Reporting or recording the cheater will not do anything to increase the speed of them getting banned. Only a positive detection from VAC will lead to a ban.

VAC doesn't ban players straight away, there is a delay, so the cheaters don't know which cheat got them banned.

Reporting of players won't ban them directly, it just highlights them to Valve so VAC can take a more detailed\closer look.

What does Vac do with someone using texture hacks? This seems to be a big issue in mw3. My understanding is Vac cannot detect texture hacks. So how can these cheaters be reported?

You can use mw3sa to report cheaters directly to activision. They can be banned from multiplayer by them, but they won't have a VAC ban.

Ok ty for the info, but with a texture hack when you play a vid it uses you pc setting so it invisible, the way you can tell is when they clip a vid the screenshot shows the texture hack.

While texture hacks themselves are legal, using them to (for example) wallhack is definitely not allowed. These players can simply be reported with the aforementioned tool - it's easy to report a wallhacker with that tool, even if VAC doesn't see it.

Will Activision be able to see the texture hack?because like i said we found out by the screenshot from a clip. My understanding is the vids use the veiwers pc settings to play the vid. But the clip screenshot is the offenders settings showing the texture hack.

No, the texture hack itself cannot be seen but hackers tend to aim through walls, which is very clearly visible.

He's talking about color skins, like 1 pink team and 1 cyan team

Those hardly provide any advantage at all. And no, those cannot ever be detected by anyone else than the hacker himself.
