Any way to change the difficulty?

I stopped playing this game because I get stuck in one fight, I tried it yesterday and nothing. The thing that most annoys me is that if I won the battle, maybe I don't get any item I need.

There's ANY way to change the difficulty?

I saw in this post that it was made to prevent the cheating, but if I can't beat the game and see the end...

Nope, not after the third floor.

Out of curiosity, is it the required fight directly after defeating Jane?

No, is a normal fight.
I suposse that I should up the level, I don't see more ways... thanks for the reply.

I noticed a difficulty spike after Jane myself, and wound up losing my momentum for a bit. Well, for months. Glad I came back though, because I'm powering through it now, and it all feels fresh again.
