Dungeons and stat pot drops
Before the most recent patch, I would rarely want to be in a dungeon with anyone else. Almost every time I ran through a dungeon with other people around, they would get the stat pot from the boss every time.
But since 122.4 hit prod, I have seen double and even triple stat pot drops from bosses in every dungeon that I have been in with others. First it was a snake pit and UDL I ran with a guild member. Just the two of us, and we both got speed and wis from the dungeons. I thought it was a just an amusing stroke of luck and ran on. Yesterday, I was trying to solo sprite worlds when this rogue showed up. He wasn't 20 yet, but he had planewalker and tped to the boss. I followed and we both got dex. Just now, I left a UDL where 5 men entered, 3 survived Septavius, and we all got wis pots. Has anyone else noticed multiple pot drops lately? Or is this just an amazing coincidence? |

I don't believe anything regarding dungeon drops has changed in this patch.
I think you just got lucky. However, I made a thread over on the wild shadow forum about this topic and how there needs to be a change in dungeon boss drops. If want to take a look, and possibly post a reply to bump it back to the top; i would appreciate it. http://forums.wildshadow.com/node/69406 |

that is not how the system works- two people can do 50% of the damage to a boss and only 1 will get a stat pot drop. This is because only 1 stat pot is guaranteed to drop. Right now everyone who does enough damage to qualify for soulbound drop is eligible. 1 person is guarantted to get a drop and I believe the other people have a chance to get a drop. (maybe 10% maybe less?) It is entirely random who gets the guarantee, as long as you both did enough damage. The person who does the most has no better chance to get it. |

I just want to say that no one knows for certain how soulbound drops work anymore. They used to know. And all you'll find on the wiki, or in that cesspool of a community they call the official forums, is the same old information.
A string of lucky drops is enough to start questioning the conventional wisdom, and at the very least test it out. Yes, it is entirely possible and probable that this was just a string of lucky coincidences. But it is also entirely possible that the devs changed something about them, after a flood of recent complaints about the difficulty of maxing characters. Which is why my post included asking about others pot drops. I don't care about regurgitated "facts", I wanted to hear if anyone had similar experiences RECENTLY. @maverick: I have read that thread and I like most of your ideas, but I refuse to be any part of that inbred community of profiteers, cheaters, and scumbags. |

I think you just had a string of bad luck, dungeon drops seem entirely random to me, with times when only 1 person gets a drop to times when 5 people getting the drop with my average being 3 people getting drops when I dungeon with 5-6 people that get to the boss. This is counting the dungeons snake pit, UDL and sprite.
