Daily deal: is it worth it?

As title asks, this game, for the daily deal price, is it worth it?

The videos look good but I'm concerned about 2 things:

1) Store page doesn't list windows 7 as an OS.

2) Video and screenshots are all in 4:3.

So, can anyone tell me whether it works in win 7 and if it allows 16:9 resolutions please?

Works with both, no issues.

Run it on Windows 7 64bit at 1920x1080.

I assume the game works somewhat like Revenge of the Titans, but is the game even nearly as good as RotT? (Which I really enjoyed)

Well, as mentioned earlier, demo is a good first step, though I never played the demo so can't exactly comment.

It does resemble Revenge of the Titans a bit, but it does not have that overall campaign feel. The game is mostly about how you build your base and expand it, balancing defense with the ever-present need to expand your infrastructure (has both a mining and power-grid component to it).

The game is definitely a lot slower than Revenge of the Titans, in that it takes a while to build up to serious craziness, and any one game is much longer than a single level on Revenge of the Titans.

I like the game, but I have not actually logged much time at all in it compared to many others. (<20 hours... Steam says 8, but I've owned it for years now and am pretty sure it's 10-14, as early 'time played' numbers were not very accurate for me, and I can remember about six ~2 hour sessions with this game).

Hey, is the music in the trailer actual in game music? I only ask cause that is pretty much the only thing that is really holding me back from buying this game.

I'm was about to pull the trigger on this, but I am concerned about the "guns not firing" bug and the lack of response from the developer.

He said "uhhhhh" here and on his own forum he has pretty much ignored the issue. This seems to be a major bug.

Does anyone know about this? From what I read, it seems people ran into the bug and want to keep playing their current game and can't. They have uninstalled and reinstalled, etc. However, I am not clear if I run into the bug can I just start a new game and not have the problem anymore? Can I reload from an old save or something and it goes away? Or is it an issue of once I have it, the game is useless without a reformat of my computer?

Anyway, unfortunately I am about 1 hour too late in catching this reply as the sale ended

. Guess I'll pick it up the next time I see a sale on it. At east now i know its not been abandoned.

unfortunately i dont know if the bugs not shooting bug has been fixed.

I dont know if jeb knows either.

the problem is that this bug has never happened for us, so we cannot reproduce it. That makes it really hard to fix... =/
