Based on the topics I'm skeptical. It looks like an alright game but the reviews on here are mixed.

It depends on what you're looking in a game. If you want a Starcraft 2 or even the previous game Eugen developed, RUSE, this isn't it. It's a bit closer to Company of Heroes/World in Conflict although those game has way more unit/hero abilities than this game has.

If you're interested in the Cold War, pick this title up. No questions asked.

If you like a semi realistic engagement ranges on a large battlefield instead of units that can't see more than 5 vehicle lengths ahead, get this game.

If you like to moan and complain about the representation of Real Life gear and how it is shown in this game, get this game.

Once again, if you're looking for classic RTS Starcraft 2 or Command and Conquer style, this isn't it.

Wargame is not a fun game, otherwise maybe they would have called it "Fun Wargame". I don't see lack of fun as a drawback in a game like this, but it's also missing that hook that makes a good game great. Without fun, though, Wargame remains very interesting and thought-provoking, which is good.

Wargame is a lot more like work. There are instances where you just have to "roll the dice" (as warmaster Julius Caesar would have put it) and hope that your kung-fu is the greatest kung-fu on the board. Sometimes it is not, which can be a massive setback.

If you are prepared to deal with those two issues, then absolutely Wargame is a steal at the sale price and pretty much worth the full asking price, in my opinion.

So you don't need to be an octopus to play the game ? I liked World in Conflict for that : I'm not a RTS expert, but in WiC I wasn't ridiculous in multiplayer, because it was a slow paced game. In short, my question is : to win, you don't have to be a semi-pro or the leader of the ladder ?

I've heard a lot of things about WiC but slow paced is not one of them.

Ok, so "slow-paced" isn't the correct word. I mean, you doesn't have to click everywhere like a mad korean in StarCraft and know by heart building order and that kind of stuff ?
I assume that's the same in Wargame or no ?

Thumbs up

- the game's scale alone (large-scale warfare with combined arms elements) is worth buying it
- authentic units and unit names
- milsim rts game that still focuses on fun and playability rather than diehard realism
- nice tactics and flanking maneuvers
- fun multiplayer
- all in all good unit balance (no unit is useless, even the cheapest ones have their small niche)
- noob-friendly victory conditions: even as a total beginner, you can play defensively and still rack up enough kills to win
- unit unlock & deck system for your own personal army
- great-looking game with incredible dx11 effects
- stability: hardly any crashes and almost no lag in mp (unlike in other rts games in which unit commands lag behind)
- FREE dlc providing new maps, functions & gamemodes
- only downsides imo: boring and overly difficult singleplayer campaign, bland map design, some minor balance problems (pact rocket arty, spammable pact tanks t55/64)

in short, get the game!!!!!!

Convinced. I hate micro in RTS, but more specifically, I hate that men can only see 15 foot, or games where direct fire units can't see as far as they shoot. I liked how RUSE handled ambushes and the like, so was interested in this.

This game ia totally worth the price.
$23.99 AND ALSO FREE DLC. DUDE, There is no reason why u shudn't get the game.
It's not the prettiest nor the BEST game around (I think it is for an RTS) but it is a DAMN GOOD one.
