Random choppy lags... Rawr
This happens with most of my games, Such as TF2, CSS Garry's Mod and CoD: WaW.
Why is there unexpected choppy lags and FPS drops? I've went to canyourunit, and it said my System was past the recommended settings. But I run the games at all LOW!@..It doesn't bother me really how bad the textures look, I just like a smooth gameplay. But I get random choppy lags and FPS drops, and my PC is: 3100 Graphics Duel Core Processor Toshiba Laptop (Satellite) 200GB Hard drive 3GB RAM 3.00 Ghz Windows Vista Home Premium. is there any console commands to make it better? Anything I can do to make it better?.. I'm not launching this with Steam btw, So I can't set specific startup commands... Unless I add it as a non-steam game. I bought this retail. |

How often do these instances occur?
And that GPU is probably not helping anything. |

Your aim is a little high. This did not belong in the Steam General Discussion section. Please recalibrate your sights.

The can you run it site is not good at all. Your GPU is slow that is why you are getting bad frame rates.

With Source games, you can try adding -dxlevel 81 in the games launch options...
Also, checking this link could be of help... https://support.steampowered.com/kb_...6956-UGCB-7160 |

if it just happened recently , it is probably your hard drive being full.
Un-Install a few old games and empty reccyle bin, and defrag if it is an older HDD. |

Your video card u pretty bad so there is only so much that can be done. More RAM might help if you see hard drive thrashing. But beyond that nothing is going to fix it beyond a new computer.
