Tutorial: Ambient Occlusion on Dungeon Siege III
Hey guys, I spent a long time trying to find a nVidia profile that would allow Ambient Occlusion on Dungeon Siege III and I finally found it, and just wanted to share it with you. Some profiles would apply the AO algorithm, but they were adding a white glow to the corners intead of a black one, and it was very very funny, like an "inverse" AO.
This is done through nVidia Inspector! http://img855.imageshack.us/img855/6748/34944947.jpg Comparison: AO Off - http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/54...2575ABAA79984/ AO On - http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/54...6530FA894C140/ And the funny bug I mentioned, the white glow (this happens when you select some profiles, like Diablo III, Left 4 Dead and Half Life 2): - http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/54...D33F4F8FAB207/ - http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/54...766B7104FD137/ Last edited by FelipeRRM: 04-16-2012 at 10:14 AM. |

tbh with ya...AO in the game from what I can tell is completely bugged how you have it.
Why? I can see shadows and what not now from that stuff threw textures and other things like fog when im not sposed to...so 1 way or another your method is still pretty flawed...imho it basecally ruins the atmosphere... ---Stixsmaster |
