Binary Domain official release date: April 27

While this was posted in another topic, I think it's worth for this to have its own topic, SEGA has confirmed that Binary Domain is being released for digital services on April 27.

Binary Domain is a dynamic action-adventure, featuring a cast of striking characters battling through 2080 era Tokyo in an effort to cleanse mankind of a race of hybrid robot/humans known as ‘Hollow Children’. As they explore a country ravaged by climate change and social upheaval, Dan Marshall and his R.U.S.T. crew will have to fight through both the slums of the lower city and the pristine hi-tech environments of the upper city. The R.U.S.T. Crew’s varied arsenal of tactics and weaponry will be necessary in order to emerge victorious in thrilling boss encounters, while Binary Domain’s procedural damage system allows players to shred their robotic foes limb-by-limb in high-intensity fire fights.

Pre-order bonuses are available for both digital and boxed versions. The ‘Dan Marshall Pack’ focuses on Binary Domain’s playable protagonist of the same name, and features additional bionic upgrades and weaponry. The ‘Multiplayer Pack’ adds the ‘Ninja’ playable class, a unique character type with a focus on surprise attacks and adaptive combat. The new ‘Outside High-rise, Upper City’ map and additional weapon types round out Binary Domain’s already-comprehensive multiplayer experience. Please check your favored digital distributor or retailer for further information on availability.

In SEGA's website they removed the retail version from the list of platforms, it's possible that the retail version might have been canceled due to the layoffs that happened earlier this month and SEGA now focusing on digital titles only, releasing retail versions only for big franchises,

That would be bad news for anyone wanting the single player pre-order bonus, as it seems that is ONLY available from Gamestop.

So what would happen to all the people who have already pre-ordered the retail version?

Game content on the Steam, ~ 6,3gb.
+ strange "Binary Domain Rel Beta", including game + demo. Oh, demo also will be avaliable for everyone.

Why aren't they promoting this game at all? The console versions flopped big time and they still are not doing anything.

Here is a free tip for SEGA:
Release 2-3 gameplay trailers at 1080p with 60FPS + a specific PC dev diary, explaining why we should buy the PC version.

It would be incredibly sad if this game does even worse than the console version. I have played it on a console and it is a really awesome 3rd person shooter that is worth checking out.

Aaaaand they'll do nothing. Look at Alan Wake's port - devs still support it, they added some nice features to our version after release. Look at SEGA - "PC gamerz, eat dat *hit and no more questions". Also, still no pre-load for this game, thx to SEGA from me and my 2mbps.

It's weird that it's doing so terrible with sales, it' getting very good user reviews everwhere I look.

And some pretty ok critic reviews, but really I don't trust critic reviews at all.

don't understand it either. First few vids i watched about it, i thought, "such a cheap gears of war and similar games ripoff" but soon it turned out that it is way more than that.
If it wasn't for 1 out of 20 commentators i watch on youtube, i wouldn't even have heard about this game

Checking the release date on Steam, it says it'll be unlocked in 1 day and 5 hours, that means it's going to be a midnight release for the GMT timezone (London timezone) instead of the usual 6PM release (many games are released on Steam at 6PM GMT, Binary Domain is apparently going to be a midnight release like Generations was, 18 hours earlier than usual releases).
