I play a lot of Men of War Assault Squad. I don't really care for the single player since I'm rather bored with men of war campaigns.

Is it worth buying still for just the multiplayer? How is it? Does it a have a lot of cool maps to choose from? Player base?

No. Bad. Only 2 game modes(victory flag, and capture the flag) and only 4 maps - Road, Station, Town, Village for Victory Flag, and only Village for Capture the Flag. Units are the same as in vanilla MoW, gameplay is as in vanilla MoW. I expect it to be a wasteland in just a few days time.

But on the other hand there is a coop mod for it: http://www.moddb.com/mods/men-of-war...eroes-coop-mod OK its not stnadrd versus multiplayer, but its kind of fun.
