Old games on steam.

I love all games, even the old. Do people have trouble with compatability when they buy old games off steam? I ask this because I have the original Half Life, Original Fallout series, and Dues Ex on my wish list. I am buying a computer soon, and it will have Windows 7 as an operating system.

I have played all those games on my modern W7 system and haven't run into any problems running them. Didn't have to change any setting within Windows to get them to work either. Half-Life even has hi-res resolutions native in game. If you look around the forums here, at widescreen gaming http://www.wsgf.org/ or at the forums at Good old Games www.gog.com you can find fixes that get either Fallout or the original Dues Ex looking better.

Ever one of 150 odd steam games works on my Win 7 based OS. ( server 2k8 r2). some took some work, but I think that was more the server os issues.

I had some trouble getting a couple of old games into widescreen.
But other than that, easy.
