No sound in store videos

I do not get any sound from the videos playing in the store.
example: I click on "walking dead" and the video starts but no sound. (yes, I have clicked the "mute" icon on/off)

Anyone else have this problem and know how to solve it?

Win 7, nforce mobo using onboard sound.
Sound works fine in all other apps.

I have searched the forums and FAQ but could not find a similar problem.

Thanks,
Mike

Does sound work in your browser in general? Have you tried other browsers?

Also try reinstalling flash as the player is flash based.

I asked it before and they said is normal that it happens. The sound is dissabled by default on steam videos.

Is the application volume set to zero? Since Windows Vista you can set application based volume rules, better check that too. It's amazing how often people forgot they set it to mute.

@andrew5
Yes, sound is off by default, but it's not normal it stays off if you turn it on. Reading and or comprehension doesn't seem to be your strength.

This is minimal information.

You mean the sound is muted by default. This has already been mentioned

If sound works everywhere else, I would suggest downloading the video by going to the store, and selecting HD videos, then clciking on 1280x720 and allow to download and play from your media selection in Steam.

Thanks for the tips.

It was the Volume Mixer. It had Steam muted. Not sure how/when I managed to do that.
Thanks Nekomancer.

There is a global hotkey in windows 7 for mute. I think it is windows key+m.
