Ridiculous Enemy Spawnings

When handling the zombies/monsters alone, I think it's ridiculous that the enemy spawns from behind or the sides when the doors are clearly sealed. Should they be called apparitions instead?

This is one of the beefs I have with this game, but anyway, imagine a very large square on the floor, as long as you are inside the square, Zed's can't spawn there, so you just gotta play each map sometimes to figure where are these spots, where you can sorta exploit and stand there and don't deal with the hassle of experiments surprising you indoors from behind.

I think it's easier to consider spawning in terms of line of sight.
As an addendum to the above, ZEDs can still spawn in your "square" if you are not facing that direction...

I like the barn in Farm. If you strafe around one of the small pillars they'll spawn on the other side.

-This is one of the core components of what makes KF challenging and unique, if not a bit hard for other people.

-Just learn the maps a bit more and this won't have such a detrimental affect to your game play. ;]

Well, anywhere that you don't have line of sight to, and has a spawn point in it. Once you're learned the spawn points you can safely put your back to some places.

I've mentioned this before in another thread, but the enlarged kitchen custom map is a prime example of enemies spawning regardless of line of sight. You can literally see them spawn from thin air, oftentimes on top of you if you wait at specific spots.

Once on Wrye, HoE, we had 4 Sirens spawn almost on top of us, (no more than 2 meters away), 4 of us were dead before we even realized what had happened.

Unless the game decides to screw you over by literally spawning 2 FP's and 2 sirens on your face. They literally spawned on top of my face.

It happens, and then you die. It's part of the game.. just like turning a corner into 4 sirens on HoE...

Yeah, but at least those didn't literally spawn on top of you. Seriously, those Sirens literally dealt damage to me because enemies landing on top of you do damage.

I think all of us at one time or another have had the mobs spawn on top of us or right in front of us especially on HOE.

The biggest trick is to not kill them so fast.

KF likes to spawn mobs in packs so if you kill a lot real fast they spawn in larger groups right around you to make it harder.

That is why when your on HOE you kill a few till the next pop spawn and make sure you are away from the major spawning areas and you should be ok.

Some times your luck just runs out with spawns but that is what happens in a game and what makes it worth actually thinking and trying your hardest.

There are many other games that you kill zombies in but they are so predictable that you never really have to worry about what is going to happen you just learn the maps and then never lose.

So think of it as a good thing some times. It makes the game harder and keeps you on your toes.

Spawn are created out of sight - even just around the corner - use this to your advantage, and THINK - this game requires You to think - dont get cornered.
