Can't run CoDWAW

Hello,
I have been playing world at war lately and I have got to the mission "Black Cats",
I receive an error about entity index's (I can't remember of by heart).
I now cannot play this game at all it simply crashes at startup.
I have tried the following:
- Deleting my profile data,
- Creating a new account,
- Fiddling with my sound settings (Some threads suggest changing the sample rate),
- Validating steam files for the game,
- Reinstalling the game,
and finally running in safe-mode.
I am out of ideas and cannot find a thread to help me.

Thank you.

Is the game Steam based or non-Steam?

Did you verify the game? If not, then follow the steps:

To Verify your game cache:

1. Go to your Steam

2. Click the LIBRARY tab in the top and left

3. Right-Click on the game title which you want to verify

4. Click the LOCAL FILES tab

5. Click the VERIFY INTEFRITY OF GAME CACHE

same things happening to me from my thread, though I wasn't able to play the game at all.

i have verified the game
i have re-installed
i have mess with sound options
i have tried updating the game with a websites download of the latest patch, but couldn't due to it being a steam game.

still nothing...

hmm, avast! did a analysis of the .exe program for "static analysis find the file suspicious" (though not enough evidence to identify the file as malware.)

strange, it terminated it, and now recommends to open it in sandbox (avast! thing)

edit when it does its things.

edit- OK, so thats weird I told it to run the program normally and now the game works...strange but ok im good with it.
