24 on Metacritic, 3.3 from users - is it worth it thread?

I freaking LOL when I saw the 24 metacritic score; I'm guessing $20 for a #24 game is not worth it.

What makes me laugh so much is that this games discount price is almost higher than its metacritic score rating lol.

Stay away from it! Just buy Postal 1 somewhere else instead

You shouldn't guide yourself by Metascores, but anything below 40 is pure crap.

What's sad is that most of the serious "is it worth it?" threads are nearly as stupid. People really ask about a game that's on sale for $10 with a Metascore of 80. Dur.

Those threads generally have merit, at least for people with a huge backlog like me. I generally want feedback from the users to see if it is worth my time and money. Those threads often contain important information that most reviews or reviewers often overlook (bugs, controll(er) issues, steam issues, multiplayer population etc. etc.).

This one, however ... well, I like that we have a thread to vent about this terrible deal I guess, I just don't like the "worth it?" in the title when it most definitely is not, even for hardcore Postal fans.

That said, this is quite possibly the single worst game ever to utilize Valve's Source engine, I guess that counts for something.

A long time ago this game also generated some interest because the developers promised an official Linux version of the game, heating up the speculation about an official Source engine and Steam client Linux port ... that clearly never happened either.

Postal 1 was given out free with one of the indie bundles, guess I will stick with that.
