Cant use any perks???

when I play any mission on solo on KF when i go and try to use a perk it says steam has prevented this what the hell do I do.

and why has it done this.

this has been asked about on the forums a lot of times
servers go down, or your connection to them has been messed up, give it a day and u'll have ur perk lvls back, or play it anyway
search the forums, u'll find a lot of "lost my perks" posts
