how do I uninstall a game using Steam?

This is probably a really silly question but: how do I uninstall a game using Steam? Cause I can't find any shortcut for it on my laptop and I can't seem to find how to do that in the site's support section either. Hence my question here.

Thanks in advance

Right click on the game in the client and click on remove local content.
Or you can remove it from the control panel.

make sure you revoke any DRM first, if the game has any.

I fear I don't really understand what you guys are saying. Which has nothing to do with you and everything to do with the fact that I don't know much about computers and aren't a native speaker.

First: What do you mean by client? Do you mean Steamapps by that? Cause that's the only place I could find the game installed. And if so if I rightclick on the game I don't have a remove local content button just a remove button. Is that okay too?

Second: What's a DRM? And how can I revoke it?

I know. I'm a total noob!

Your English is pretty good, don't worry.

Yes client = Steam app.

What game are you talking about, or is this just a general enquiry?

The game is called Yesterday. It was a nice game but it takes up too much space on my hard drive.

So whenn in Steamapps - Common - Yesterday can I just click on the remove button or do I have to do something with the DRM (whatever that may be) first?

There is no side DRM.

But you understood it a bit wrong:

You have to launch Steam (program itself), in the game list select "Yesterday", right click on it, select "delete local content".

That should do it.

DRM is short for Digital Rights Management. Some games have special security software that only allows you to install games for a few times or only on a few computers at once.

If you would not revoke the DRM on your computer during uninstallation you could lose one of these numbers. But it depends on which kind of DRM is in the game, if any.

By the way, Steam itself is also considered as DRM as it ties your games to your account and does not allow others to use your license key. But don't worry, you don't need to revoke anything only because of steam

I tried following the instructions in this thread, but I never saw an option for "delete local content". Yes, I was looking at my list of games in the Steam application, and not my web browser. Any other ideas? I'd like to remove the files for "The Final Hours of Portal 2" from my computer.
This is my game list: http://steamcommunity.com/id/Dogman15/games?tab=all (I also don't know why I have Forge things - I never asked for those.)
When I right-click on a game, all I see are:
*Back
*Forward
*Reload
*Stop
--
*Copy Page URL
*Copy Link Address
*Copy
*Paste
--
*View Source...

You need to right click the item in your LIBRARY, not the games list that you can view from your profile.

Good god man..

If you was going to remove L4D2 you would right click it, refering to the above picture.

When you right click this is what you see.
