Screenshot thread

Hello gang, thought we should start posting screenshots of our flights here in one place because I'm sure we got some really neat ones around Hawaii.

Since the forums (and the FB page) are so filled with hate right now, I thought of posting something a tad more positive. I do not want this thread to devolve into bashing so leave if you're going to do that please.

P.S. I prefer taking screenshots outside of the plane. That doesn't mean I never fly in a cockpit :P

MY SCREENSHOTS

That's a lot of buildings. Honestly, MS Flight's representation of Honolulu is huge. It makes Test Drive Unlimited 2's Honolulu look like a village. That game's awesome too by the way.

Haha someone's a little creative. Good shot.

P.S. The total lack of posts here indicate either a) nobody has any screenshots to post, b) all the supporters of this game has already left the forums because of the haters, or c) both.

Or d) it's a pain in the rumpus trying to paste screenshots one by one into some graphics program. (I thought we were supposed to have a screen-print capability within the game?)

Um, I guess you're not aware that Steam already has an ingame screenshot function. You can change the button in the Steam options.

This works for non-Steam games you add as well.

227hrs and counting
the new F40 is a nice ride too.
my steam name is the same as my forum name, feel free to look a tdu2/flight brother up

edit: for anyone using steam for screen shots,
you'll need to reset either the F12 "top down" view in flight, or, as i did - remap your screenshot key to something else.
by default, pressing F12 in flight for a steam screenshot will change view to top down AND take screen shot at the same time, giving only top down pics

Oops forgot both players have to be online before we can be added as friends. I also forgot about the F12 thing for screenshots. I had to change the button as well. I am using End now. No game I know uses that key.

For those of us without Steam (such as the originals who bought Flight thru Games for Windows Marketplace) the only option it seems is to do a [prt scrn] and paste it into something else.

Or just press the "V" key.

Or, do as I've done for the past fifteen years. Install a tiny TSR (Terminate and Stay Resident) screenshot utility program. I've used Grabber2k.exe because it really is "tiny." It takes just under 2k of system memory.

It is easily configured from the system tray for many file types, although I use .jpg since I won't have to convert from Flight's default .bmp format. It will take full-screen, multi-screen, or rubber-band selection screenshots.

It may be configured to use any key-combination desired. I use the default PrintScreen key since that's what it's for!

It will automatically save all files either as a date/time filename, or an incremented suffix filename, such as SR22T_01.jpg, SR22T_02.jpg, etc.

My mistake then. I just assumed everyone was playing it on Steam since this is the Steam forums. You could also get FRAPS (or some other screenshot taking program) and take screenshots ingame with that (default is F10 but you can change it). Easier than pressing Prt Scrn and pasting it into a paint program.

Someone said Press V though. Does that mean Flight actually does have an ingame screenshot function?

Pressing V will create a bitmap image in your My Documents\My Pictures\Flight folder
