I agree. I had the same experience playing through the first time.

It's incredible that they managed to keep the feeling of the original game when you see all these bungling reboots like the modern re-release of Syndicate.

I'm about to start this game. Picked it up quite awhile ago on a sale without checking into whether it was any good, reading it's similar to the original is all i need to hear.
