Question xsi 6.0 or 7.5

I am getting xsi but the valve dev wiki says 6.0 is better for source. But in all honestly what is better for source modeling, 6.0 or 7.5?

it's not about being better - i think they are the same for source modelling. it's about the compatibility of the source plugin. thus 6.0 is recommended.

What about soft image 2013? I have the Full student version instead of the free XSI. I don't have installed yet, but does anyone know if the plugin works for it? Its also x64.

well... try it. but if that xsi is a x64 only you'll mosdef have no luck with the plugin.

i'm pretty sure it won't work cause it's generally 32bit and those x64 tools usually can't call 32bit programs.
