why Steam is listed twice as "Complimentary"?

Just kidding, but I would like to know why Steam is listed twice as "Complimentary" in my account history. Could it possibly have something to do with account recovery(mine was recovered recently)?

Mine has it twice as well, but much much further apart.

Retail games that require steam will list Steam as complimentary, since it install Steam alongside the game for default

Interesting. I can't say I know why it's listed twice.

It's listed once because there is a subscription entry for Steam itself, which contains some of the content the Steam client itself uses, as well as all the free things you have access to by default (e.g. demos, videos, and suchlike)

It's a bug, there was a thread on it a while ago. Something to do with Valve shifting data around caused it to change values IIRC. Valve stated they would fix it.
