LucidVirtu Technology
Hi
Has anyone tried this new software which apparently can make games run faster even on some low end systems and laptops. Its called "Virtu Universal GPU Virtualization Software" and can allocate resources either to the cpu or gpu whichever is best for a particular task. Details available here: http://www.lucidlogix.com/product-virtu-universal.html. It works on the following systems: Available for Notebooks and Desktop motherboards - AMD Brazos, Bulldozer and next generation platforms - Intel Sandy Bridge platforms - Z68/H67/H61 If any simmer has used can they let us know of their experiences? Thanks PeterH |

Hi Peter
It doesn't speed up anything actually. The util just lets you utilise the onboard graphics card when you don't need the umph of the plugin card. Say you play a game, then the plugin card comes into play, once you exit the game the system switches to the lower powered built in video and conserves power, less heat generation etc. It's ok, I use it and it allows my plugin card to go silent when it's not required. Seems to work well but don't think you will get some kind of boost from it. Unless of course your plugin card is older/less powerful than the inbuilt one! Cheers |
