Steam download suspended?

I'm trying to download the CS:GO beta and everytime at 97% it

blinks downloaded suspended than download starting, than 97%

and it goes through those 3 choices indeffinitely.



I've tried changing my unicode, i've tried verifying cache, i've tried restarting my download, I've tried pausing/resuming my download, tried restarting my steam,tried restarting my computer, i've tried running in administrator, I've tried unchecking read only

and none of those fixed this issue.

Anyone know anything else I can try?

Try deleting some of the files like the main exe and restarting

I've deleted the 3 folders bin/csgo/platform 1 by 1 and it still does the same thing


I tried deleting an ACF file called manifest_730 and it restarts the download but stops at 97% still

I found these 2 files called
state_730_731.patch
and
state_730_732.patch

they couldn't be deleted because they were being used in another program so i closed steam and deleted them, now the download restarted I'm gonna keep you updated to see if it stops at 97% again.

Dunno seems like the new content servers are doing weird stuff. DOTA2/CS:GO/Civ5 are all having problems for some reason. You can try changing your region but i'm not sure if that's going to help.

Last resort, delete everything except steam.exe and the steamapps folder

also are you doing anything odd like splitting the steam install?

Nope Im just trying to install it, idk how to split it. I'll try the region change in a second though, I had a friend get cs:go and he didn't get his download suspended and he started about the sametime i did. (yesterday)

Yep, I'm also having "Download suspended" when updating DOTA2 or CS:GO. And it's not a region problem: I tried to change it.

Seems like some problem in Steam itself...

i've been getting this on just about every single game except call of duty 4. makes me seriously want to never get a new steam game again... MW3/MW2/CIV/

ive done all of the following
defrag and cache
testing ports
testing forwards
upnp switch
nat switch
reinstall of steam and full game
made sure drivers / computer up to date on critical software
even submitted a ticker, after doing all this they told me try again. didn't solve a damn thing... About to punch a baby.... seriously....

This is really weird. I have Dota 2 (in beta like CS:GO) but no problem, you should send another ticket with what you did trying to solve your problem. I am sure it will be OK at the end.
