Incapaticatting enemies

Is there a specific spot to shoot at in order to incapacitate someone? I've only managed to do it once on accident.

My idea is to incapacitate one enemy, have him call for help, and pick off the ones that attempt to assist him (like that scene in full metal jacket).

Normally it's the back or legs from what I've done. But I too did it by accident the first time, guess you have to be lucky.

I've tried several places in the legs and it's not consistent at all. Every time I attempt that they just keep firing at me or they die from the leg shot.

Shoot at their butt, I'm not even joking, every time I hit their gluteus maximus they are on the floor.

Right at the hip is the spot to aim for yep
