I'm not sure if this has been talked to death yet, but there's been this piece of text that I've gotten an interest in, and I'd like to see some fan speculation. It's been touched on lightly in the past, but any speculation regarding always turns out to be utterly inconclusive. We don't really know what it was supposed to mean, where it was supposed to be used, (apart from e3_end and hazard1) or... anything else, really.

Does the show "Dallas" ring any bells... quite widly regarded as the worst ending to a series ever aired (however the Mass Effect fanbase would argue that) how did it end, It was all a dream. Fantastic, really imaginative- i don't think so- i would never forgive Valve if they ran with that ending. I can imagine the end right now "Gordon wakes up in his bed and Alyx is in the shower" No way!

Actually, Gordon does wear his helmet in HL1, proof it is that its attached to the HEV when he gets it, and in BS/OpFor, I'm pretty sure he is seen wearing the helmet at least once

He is only seen without the helmet in BS and OF. First related thing I found: http://violinonline.ru/index.php?key...Freeman&page=1

You can even see him without the helmet in HL itself if you use some cheats to put the game in third person mode (note that not only is this not "real" evidence, it also doesn't play properly), which is presumably the model they reused.

...which is interesting enough, since it suggested there's some sort of mundane monitored facility somewhere, rather than Gordon being suspended in a timeless black void.
Void, in itself, of course, if it ended up on the cutting room floor.

VALVe could make a full sequel just from cut content,or at least an episode. I know its a terrible idea but its ashame that most of that content will never see the lime light.
