Steam Client Beta Available - Page 11

Getting an error launching Portal 2, finished downloading it and when I launch it gives me says it's completing installation, says 1% then immediately says:
The Steam servers are too busy to handle your request for Portal 2. Error Code (2)

Any help would be appreciated..

That wouldn't be an early update getting pushed out with the new DLC would it?!

I can't install anything because steam says I have 0.0b remaining space. I actually have 113GB of free space, and I don't have any virtual links or any other funny business with my steam install.

my f1 2011 doesnt work after take the beta !!!

i play 20hours before dont have problem

now is crash avery time when he tried to load my save !!!!

i try 2time to verify my game on proprity and verify game
no success

intresting bug:

I left a chat window open with 2 friends, they went offline ( either disconnected or steam network outage )

thier avatars went black, and both of their names were changed to "unknown"

but the text in the chat remained untouched.

I'm using steam beta upgrade and i've fund one bug, i belive.

when i get out from a game, anyone, steam don't launch any game after - in on line mod -
off line mod works fine

I was wondering, how will the remote management work for pre-loading, and decrypting games? Can it be done?

According to the javascript options that are available you can only install/uninstall/pause installs remotely. It seems moot too since pre-load windows are usually quite large so it's not like a remote install is that important?

All game DLC is shown as not installed in the communtity games list.

[bug - Beta Update]
When closing Steam's main window with the [X] it disappears like is suppose to and then reappears when clicking on something else... it might have something to do with destroying the window. Anyone else having this?

I'm using Win7 Pro 64bit.

Can't reproduce it here.

[REQUEST]
Can we have browser in the overlay not set to offline mode when steam is in offline mode.. I regularly stick steam into offline mode because I can, would be nice to still be able to use browser while playing games offline.

Hi,

when i am on the Store Screen and i click on the DLC for modern warfare: 3 Collection 1 and from there on the "x friends already own this game:" i always get to the "X friends want this game:" list.
Not sure if this is the right section for it but the "bug" started for me atleast yesterday.

Since the 08/05/12 update, scrolling with the mouse wheel in the web control is not smooth and causes upward jerks.

Everything is in online mode...
