This. Either way you will spend money, so why not get some weapons, or more importantly, some hats.

However, if buying it physically still means you get a chance at owning the proof of purchase, and that's something you want, then go for it.

I upgraded via Store, and I got a Proof of Purchase.

Steam Wallet doesn't work for me , so I have to buy the retail. About the retail one, do they give me a code to enter?

I read about it and it said it gives you a CD and a CD key to enter on steam . I'm wondering if this is true.

Nope, it depends on what you do, in my wife's account it took like 2 days, it said that she had premium, but she couldn't trade or do any premium stuff, like finding hats or having more than 50 slots.

Must be a bug. I've upgraded a few accounts and I've never recieved the proof of purchase on those.

Wrong. Proof of purchase come only with Orange box, both digital or retail.
