Strange robot like character in Meet the Director Comic?

Everything looks normal right?
Look at the first panel, the one of 2fort, bottom right corner.

At first glance it looks like a pyro, but a closer look? Honestly it looks nothing like a pyro.

What is it? Unless its a pyro, but just lacking detail, it looks like a robot

It's a Demoman. You can see the pipe trails leading right to it.

It's Demopyro, the new Pyro sub-class that uses grenades that lights targets on fire.

Ha, that's awesome. Was there a miscomm between line and coloring halfway through?

In all seriousness, though, that's an early prototype for the pyro. The engineer asked Tavish to let it borrow the LnL for some field testing.

Also, I LOVE the flying bodypart hidden by the speech bubble in the last panel of that page. Improvisational censor? Genuine mistake? There's an obvious dead space just to the left of the current bubble location...

Guys, how is that a Pyro? I guess the Grenade Launcher Shaped Flare Gun hasn't dropped for me yet, oh well. It's so obvious it isn't a pyro. It's painfully obvious that its a Demoman! It was a coloring error.

OP, heard of Team Fortress Wiki?
