Just bought in sale after experiencing Oblivion - Overhaul?

So I've wanted to try Morrowind for a while and a few weeks back I played through Oblivion, vanilla. I got to level 24 and completed the Fighter, Mage, Theif guild quests and didn't want to finish the main quests so I could keep gates open to enchant armor. I sort of lost interest at this point since I'd already seen everything and it became somewhat of a grind.

Downloading Morrowind now and I was going to use the Overhaul as soon as it was done. Is this a wise choice? The graphics seem much better but I was using Oblivion on low settings without HDR so I'm not sure there'd be that much difference and I'm still unsure of the actual changes it places on gameplay since there didn't seem to be a breakdown of the Overhaul on the site.

Any advice or starting tips? I got myself a map.

I'd say so: better try first experiencing Morrowind not with all tose eye-candiness of overhaul, but with MGE only (after generating distand land, of course) and a couple of basic mods - like Better Bodies, Better Cloth, Window Lights, unofficial patch, morrowind code patch (not a mod, but must have). This will be much more of original experience. I say so much because I don't like some design decisions taken in Overhaul. But the Overhaul itself can be easily used for first playthrough, yes.

Also: http://media.moddb.com/images/mods/1...1296413411.jpg Vanilla Morrowind is on top, overhauled - on the bottom.

Only real thing is, youd have to start a new game after adding the extras(in most cases...depends what you change)
But then....starting again..new character....new stats....is that such a bad thing?

EDIT: you might find THESE useful, series of guides I made for new players....Just the first 3 vids should get you up and going

EDIIIIIIT: A MAP! Your one of the few! well done
