Swastikas

Firstly i am not trying too offend or so. Just a very serious question. I wonder why the developers choose too left these things out. As i know older ww2 shooters (like cod) always had these in. Just for immersion and to be more authentic. Because the german flags in the game are horrendous now. It would be just way cooler having them in well that is what i think. Again i am not trying too be offensive or start a flame i was only wondering.

It comes down to the fact that in some countries ♥♥♥♥ insignia is banned and rather than have to go in and remove every single one for that version it's easier to have none.

Okay i see well thank you for a quick reply. I just think it takes away the authenticism (is that written well?) and the immersion of fighting the ♥♥♥♥ warmachine. But i definitly understand the developer choice. I myself lost family in the war by german doing but i don't feel offensive by seeing swastikas in a game. Thanks for clearing this out.

these sorts of things while understandable are annoying.

at least for me, but i think others might also feel the same way... this game is about slightly more than sniping, its also about killing ♥♥♥♥♥ (and russians too i guess, and retrieving v2 rocket info and more stuff... but lets back to ♥♥♥♥♥ lol).

ah, good old wolfenstein, anyway.....

having the swas would be great.. wouldn't mind it as solo-campaign only dlc.

doubt it will happen, meanwhile i'm happy knowing in my head at least that i'm killing ♥♥♥♥♥, even if the game wont let me know it.

Indeed the Wehrmacht weren't ♥♥♥♥'s just soldiers who were forced too fight for their country by the ♥♥♥♥'s. But ofcourse ♥♥♥♥'s in the Wehrmacht excisted aswell

In addition to the whole "banned in some countries" thing, swastikas weren't displayed /everywhere/, and a good portion of German soldiers weren't knot-seas, as some movies/documentaries would have you believe. Just like every current US armed forces member isn't a democrat, despite the president being one. In the big scheme of things, the knot-sea party was just like any other political party, until Hitler took over and turned it into his personal hate machine.

Yea, Germany (what irony!) bans national socialistic stuff. However, the easier solution would be to just leave it out for the German market (you left out the killcam here as well).

In fact some of the most well respected German officers, Erwin Rommel for instance, were opposed to the harsh treatment of the Jewish population by the SS.
Not all Wehrwacht (Germany's regular army) were necessarily as 'evil' as Himmler and the SS. Most were just men who were fighting for their country.
Regardless of this, the swastika is still viewed as a symbol of hatred similar to the Confederate flag of the South during America's civil war.
