Any way to increase space between players?
I'm having a reoccurring problem playing Civ 5. The start positions are never intelligent when deciding player proximity. I've tried various world sizes and sea levels, choosing map sizes with less players than suggested for the size.
What happens is invariably I will start very close to at least 2 other empires with smaller regions being crowded. Then there will be one larger region with only one or two empires for the whole thing and their score just rockets up due to lack of competition. Is there an an XML setting to tweak or a mod that anyone is aware of that will try and more evenly space out the players? |

Hey, use a large map size and delete some of the players
To delete an AI in a single player game, go to advanced setup, and there's a delete button in the lower right hand corner of the AI slot |

There isn't amod for that? Hmm...
Well, try the Earth map with 12 players total. It seemed to be pretty balanced for me, although I must admit that Ghandi was being a land-hogging asshat, but I digress. |
