Aquanox: Is it worth it?

Aquanox is the daily deal for today but has no Steam forum of its own (that I can find) so I'll ask here: Is it worth it?

I got it free with a GPU like 10 years ago, it was kinda cool then (with a joystick) but I am doubtful that it aged well. Better ways to spend your time.

It's $4 bucks for the first and second game... still not worth it?

I have the first one, it's pretty good underwater, vehicle based shooter. You can buy new guns, torpedoes, etc. You may want to check metacritic page for both games, user scores are higher than critics'.

I'd say go for it, but check YouTube for gameplays first.

They both were great games at the time - were Wing Commander and Star Wars (space simulators) were popular - they were released.

From the gameplay mechanics, the story and the atmosphere I guess they still can hold up today ... but not with the technic/graphic ... I even wonder how good they run with todays PCs and input devices.

But if you have and old and dusty joystick ... clean it up and buy them.

It did that for me too so I used the store's search function.

Digital Game-wise, sure why not. Even bad games can lead to a humorous experience and I'm pretty sure I've spent more for one drink at the pub than the price of this daily deal.

It's not, I had the same problem, but you just have to search for it. I guess you'll find it ;-)

I did that too after being redirected 2 times... but I can't find it in the "specials"

Just give Valve time ... sometimes it just take a bit longer to get everything "on line" ... at least at the games store pages the discount is there.
