That said, this game's concept has potential and may develop into something special. Right now? It's not there yet.

I appreciate that this is a small indie developer.

I appreciate Spiral's participation in this forum and the effort to get things patched. Although in all honesty, I think the need for that big patch could have and should have been avoided.

I'm still not buying Spiral's explanation for the launch version being so buggy. If it was simply a directory name change, why was the patch five times larger than the original game?

If it was a directory name issue it was at Spiral where the wrong build directory was sent to Steam.

If it was just a directory issue, why did they need Epic to work on it for days?

But anyone giving this game a 10 is flat out full of crap.
I am patient i can understand flaws and needing time.. but there is now way in hell that anyone in thier right mind would give this a 10 .
For me a 10 game is one of truly legendary status.
this game is fun and well worth the price and i have faith in it getting better though.
Will keep updating it if I find more.

Far from completely unplayable. It's a blast to play as it is. I'm pumped for the patch tomorrow to see what the game is really supposed to play like.

The core issues right now are with joining, hosting, and searching for games through the GUI / menus.

There's a guide here: http://forums.steampowered.com/forum....php?t=2686345 about how to host and join games through the console. That method seems to be bypassing most or all of the major crashing issues at the moment.

Important to mention also the Dinosaur Waves and some A.I elements!

See, this is why David is the boss. I can't keep everything in my head at once. Just ask him - I'll send him the same question three or four times, having forgotten that he'd already answered. And that's with a friggin' text history of the day's conversations right in front of me.

On a completely unrelated note to my memory problems, if any of you folks are still in high school / college and considering turning out for pole vault in track & field, wear a helmet.

Thanks for eliminating any doubt in my mind that I need to skip this game. At least until they fix it

Added thanks.

I don't know what are everyone opinions, but to me, this looks like a quick cash grab or maybe get more funds for their full feature game Orion:Prelude... The other reason for it, is that they are using the same assets in Dino Beatdown as in Prelude (according to PAX footage, and other trailers), so it's essentially the same game, but severely stripped down and costs less.
I really do hope that Orion:Prelude will be way better than this very primitive and simplistic product.
