My impressions

The game reminds me a lot of the gloriousness of Flatout 2/UC. The hectic nitro-based gameplay, the loose traction of the cars, the parts flying all over. It's really great great fun if you into the whole thrashing cars shebang.

I missed a destruction scoring besides the predictable position and time scoring at the end of the race, that would give more purpose to the whole crashing and bashing thing.

Unfortunately, the crashes receive too little attention. I've trashed a racer, and nothing: no indication on screen (besides the one about the blow that i've dealt), no narrator notice, NOTHING! FOR JEBUS SAKE, I'VE JUST TRASHED A CAR, I SHOULD BE HONORED FOR THIS (hehe).

Narration: is it awful or is it awful? Do yourself a favor and turn that damned narration to 0% in the sound options screen. It is really really annoying. Maybe with someone with a deeper, edgier voice. Sounds like it's been voiced by a surfer bro, just terrible.

The demo SHOULD HAVE INCLUDED MORE CONTENT, at least a destruction track together with this one.

All in all, it's great fun, had some great moments with it, like one when i was fourth and the three ahead were packed passing through the last crossing towards the finish, when someone took one of them on the side in a big mess that allowed me to come from fourth to first just before the last turn next to the finish line of the last lap.

There is a 'hidden' multiplayer mode that lets you play a Rampage event (demolition derby) online against other players ... presumably to test the online lobby and connection systems.

Well, at least on xbox there's one - I'm not sure if it's in the PC version since I haven't bothered trying. The game runs pretty garbage on my GTX275 so I didn't really try beyond testing the two extra unlockable cars (that you can't test on xbox).

If it's there, try it - it's pretty fun.

The narrator mentions wrecked cars all the time and makes a comment about tail-gating if you take out their rear. Overall I've found the commentary to be great, though I can understand why it would annoy some people.

And as already pointed out, the demo includes a multiplayer demolition track. It's an absolute blast playing online and you get to level up and earn cash based upon how well you do. Can't wait for the full game to come out.
